Glasorden-Our hero, who is dark-haired with dreadlocks and speaks Norwegian as his mother tongue. He's a little shy, but generally quite affable. He normally won't pass up a good battle opportunity, and he eventually becomes an Ice-type Gym Leader.
Gardenia-Named after a flower and far more beautiful, our beloved Grass-type trainer is Glasorden's love interest and the owner of the Eterna Gym. She is very kind, especially towards Grass-type Pokémon.
Farlig Town-A small, Norwegian-speaking town, named after the Norwegian word for danger/dangerous. Of course, there is actually very little danger here, and the residents are generally quite friendly.
Julia-Glasorden's childhood best friend. She is quite friendly and high-spirited, but she doesn't have time to train Pokémon. Still, she tries to help Glasorden out whenever she can.
Swinub/Piloswine/Mamoswine-Glasorden's loyal Pokémon ally. They met each other at a young age, and this Pokémon is quite willing to help his trainer-even against his will!
Lapras-A female Lapras whom Glasorden receives from no less than Lorelei of the Kanto Elite Four.
Snover/Abomasnow-A Pokémon whom Glasorden caught in the wild. He is quite limber.
Magnemite/Magneton-Glasorden saved this Pokémon from a cold death. Although this Pokémon doesn't battle a lot, it is still good friends with Glasorden.
Glacierbay City-A snowy metropolis bordering the sea. It has a Gym that Glasorden receives from a Ground-type Gym Leader. Unlike many burgs in the Pokémon world, Glacierbay City is populated by a good deal of thugs, and anyone traveling through had better watch their back.
Professor Oak-The famed Pokémon professor who is known the world over. He is very dedicated to his research, and he always wears a smile and helps Pokémon and people in need.
Peter-The very friendly patron of Glasorden's favorite tavern in Glacierbay City. He is convinced that Glasorden's battling is a big boon for his business and therefore helps him out a great deal.
Roger, Ralph, Raul, and Rich-Four drunkards who frequently visit Peter's tavern. They are friendly when they are sober, but quite disagreeable when they are drunk.
Dirk-A retiring Ground-type Gym Leader and manager of a large mining operation in Glacierbay City. He is very high-spirited and frequently laughs. Also, he is Gardenia's father and cares very much about her.
Canalave City-A city in Sinnoh that is split into two halves by a large canal. It has a library and a Gym.
Eldritch-A Sailor who is quite fond of sailing. He is always eager to sail you wherever you need to go.
Byron-The middle-aged Steel-type Trainer who owns the Canalave Gym. He is the first Gym Leader whom Glasorden meets in Sinnoh, and he is friendly.
Eterna City-A large city that is warm and friendly, in contrast to the cold Glacierbay City. It lies near the forbidding Eterna Forest. Its biggest attraction is its ancient Pokémon statues, but hot-blooded trainers, as well as our hero, go there for a different reason...
Roark-The Oreburgh City Gym Leader and son of Byron. He is usually friendly, but he hides something under his mining cap...
Rose-A loyal Junior Trainer whom Gardenia escorts out of Eterna Forest. She is quite friendly, but mischievous. As a result, she appears to be quite good at pickpocketing.
Oreburgh City-A city built around mining. It also has a mining museum where fossils can be restored.
